What it is
A lip lift shortens the distance between the base of the nose and the upper lip, which lengthens with age or can be naturally long. By removing a small, precisely measured strip of skin just under the nose, it lifts the upper lip to show more of the pink lip and the upper teeth at rest.
The scar is hidden in the crease at the base of the nose, where it settles discreetly. Unlike filler, which adds volume, a lip lift changes the proportion of the lip and is a permanent result.
It restores a youthful, balanced lip and smile in suitable patients. It does not add volume to thin lips on its own. All surgery carries risks, and results vary.
