Chin implant surgery, or chin augmentation, places a solid implant over the chin bone to strengthen a weak or receding chin and improve facial balance. A well-projected chin supports the profile and the jaw and neckline, and a weak chin can make the nose look larger and the neck less defined.
The implant is inserted through a small incision, either inside the mouth or under the chin, and sits over the bone to add projection in proportion to the rest of the face. The size and shape are chosen for your features.
It improves balance and profile but does not address the neck or jaw fat, which may be treated alongside. All surgery carries risks, and results vary.
