What it is
Lower eyelid surgery, or lower blepharoplasty, reduces under-eye bags and excess skin to refresh the lower lids. The bags are usually caused by fat that pushes forward as the support of the lower lid weakens with age.
Depending on the anatomy, fat is removed or repositioned to smooth the transition to the cheek, and a small amount of skin may be tightened. The incision is often placed inside the lid, leaving no visible scar, or just below the lash line.
