Hybrid breast augmentation combines a breast implant with fat grafting in a single procedure. The implant provides reliable volume and projection, while the patient's own fat is layered over the implant to soften edges, improve cleavage, and create a more natural transition where the breast meets the chest.
This approach is often chosen for patients who want a clear size increase but also a very natural result, particularly those with thin tissue where an implant alone might show rippling or edges. The fat is harvested by liposuction, which also contours the donor area.
Hybrid augmentation asks more of the planning, since both implant selection and fat placement must work together. The result is a fuller breast with a softer, more natural look and feel than an implant alone can provide. All surgery carries risks, and results vary.
