What it is
This treatment combines microneedling with the topical application of an exosome-based product to the skin surface. Exosomes are tiny particles derived from cell cultures that are being studied for their possible role in skin recovery. Here the product is applied to the skin after microneedling, not injected.
It is important to be clear about the regulatory position. In the European Union, exosome-based products for therapeutic or injectable use are tightly regulated and are not approved as injectable medicines, so we use them only as a topical step applied to the skin surface, and we describe the evidence as still emerging rather than established.

Recovery follows that of microneedling, with redness like mild sunburn for a day or two. Gentle skincare and sun protection are advised, and any improvement builds gradually as the skin recovers.
