What it is
Lipoedema is a chronic condition in which abnormal fat tissue builds up symmetrically, usually in the legs and sometimes the arms, often with tenderness, easy bruising, and a feeling of heaviness. It is not the same as ordinary weight gain and does not respond well to diet alone.
