What it is
Implant exchange combined with a breast lift replaces existing implants while also raising and reshaping breasts that have sagged over time. It is chosen by patients whose implants are aging or no longer suit them and whose breast has also descended, a common combination after years with implants, pregnancy, or weight change.
Performing both together updates the implant and corrects the position in a single recovery. The old implant is removed and replaced, often with a change in size or type, while the lift removes excess skin and repositions the nipple. The pocket may be refreshed or repositioned as part of the plan.
It is a more involved revision than exchange alone, requiring careful planning so the new implant and the lift work together. The goal is a refreshed, lifted, naturally proportioned breast. All surgery carries risks, and results vary.

An updated implant with a lifted, naturally proportioned breast is achievable in one recovery. The procedure cannot remove scars, cannot guarantee an exact size, and does not remove the future need to address the implant.
